After Hours Local Events

When the Festival closes on Friday and Saturday evening, some of Newport's businesses host local "After Hours" events.

The Gladiators at Eden Hall

Friday, February 24th at 8:00 p.m.

Side Door Café/Eden Hall welcomes the reggae sounds of THE GLADIATORS featuring Droop Lion in concert on Friday, February 24 at Eden Hall 6675 Gleneden Beach Loop in Gleneden Beach.

The Gladiators were founded in 1965 and have released some of the most mythical songs of Jamaican reggae. Droop Lion, a rising star in Jamaica joined the band in 2014 and is featured on their most current album release. King Hopeton will also be performing with the Band.

This is a one-night show on their west coast tour, this maverick Band will be performing their traditional repertory of the Gladiators as well as new songs. This show promises to be a reggae revival with energy and good times for all ages.

Doors open at 8:00, show begins at 9:00 am. No host bar will be available for beverage, appetizers also available for purchase

This is a 21 and older event. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the Side Door Café, by calling 541-764-3825 or at www.sidedoorcafe.com.

Shilo Dance Party

February 24th & 25th at 9:00 p.m.

Are you coming to Newport for the Seafood and Wine Festival? The Shilo is hosting a nightcap dance party in their Ballroom Friday night from 7:00 pm-1:00 am and Saturday night from 5:00pm-1:00am. They will have multiple bars set up, great food and Land Shark DJ from Lincoln City. Cover charge is $8. Take the free shuttle from the festival and get dropped off right at the Shilo. Come join the party!!!

Apollo's Nightclub After-Fest Party

Apollo’s Nightclub is once again celebrating the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival with their 10th Annual After-Fest Party February 23, 24, 25, 26, 2017. Doors open from 2:00 pm till 2:00 am daily.

Offering karaoke, dance music and DJs, poker tournaments and give-a-ways throughout the weekend. No cover Thursday and Sunday, $8.00 cover on Friday and Saturday only. Weekend passes can be purchased now through Friday, February 24th at noon for $12, which give access and no waiting in line for the entire weekend. Coast Festival/Stronger Together Run/Walk 5K

Sunday, February 26th at 8:00 a.m.

Where: Newport Performing Arts Center 777 W. Olive Street, Nye Beach Turn West at Highway 101 and Highway 20 intersection and proceed on Olive St. to Newport's Performing Arts Center.

Course Description: Scenic paved course through Nye Beach, down to the Yaquina Bay Bridge, through Yaquina Bay State Park and back to the Performing Arts Center. A fairly flat, fast and fun course.

Start Times: 9 a.m. start. Packet pickup and race day registration at 8:00 am.

Awards: 10:15 am at the Performing Arts Center. Awards for Top overall M & F, Masters M & F, Age Group Awards by 5 Year Increments. Results posted at the event. Enjoy delicious hot local chowder after the race, donated by Ocean Bleu at Gino's, as well as great raffle prizes donated by local businesses.
